项目用地位于中国历史上最早被皇家钦定为观音道场的广德寺，酒店的设计灵感正是源于拜塔礼佛。依山而建，顺势而生的建筑形态宛如一座横卧于山坡上的佛塔，沿酒店表面的禅径拾级而上的过程，即演绎成为蹬塔礼佛修身养性的过程。酒店融入自然之中，与对岸的广德寺遥相辉映，成为参禅礼佛过后修身养性的最佳场所。
建筑充分体现了隐于山林，自然本位的禅宗思想，让自然成为悟道的媒介，审美更趋向于禅的空寂与明快。从公共空间到私密空间，从休闲空间到会议空间，从客房到庭院，建筑注重的是人与自然的和谐，强调的是在环境中自我的体会，修身和顿悟。
The site is located across the river from the Guangde Temple, the first official temple of Guangying Bodhimanda. This close proximity became the inspiration for the hotel, which is to create not only an Architectural dialogue, but a spiritual dialogue, with the temple as well.
The shape of the hotel is an abstraction of the reclining Buddha resting on the hillside. A “Zen Road” leads the guests up the hotel or a “journey of self-cultivation” to worship Buddha. Once at the top, guests are offered an unobstructed view of Guangde Temple, which in turn and as we hoped, inspire meditation and awe.
