第五届棕地再生与生态修复国际会议将于2025年10月6日-10日在意大利米兰的清华大学中意设计创新基地（CIDIH）举办！

本届会议由中国风景园林学会指导，清华大学建筑学院棕地研究中心、世界绿色设计组织（WGDO）与意大利米兰理工大学建筑、城市规划与建筑工程学院（待确认）联合主办。

本届会议恰逢中欧建交50周年重要契机，以"创意资本：棕地再生中的艺术与设计"（Creative Capital: the Rise of Arts and Design in Brownfield Regeneration）为主题，积极响应"中欧绿色行动"倡议，致力于构建跨学科国际对话平台。会议聚焦艺术与设计在棕地再生中的创新驱动作用，围绕“遗产（Heritage）”、“文化（Culture）”、“形象（Identity）”三大核心议题，邀请全球专家学者、艺术家与设计师分享跨学科实践成果，探讨艺术介入如何激活工业遗产、文化叙事如何赋能场所精神、设计创新如何重塑城乡形象，推动棕地再生从技术修复迈向社会价值共创，为中欧绿色合作注入新动能，进一步深化中欧绿色伙伴关系建设。

The 5th International Conference on Brownfield Regeneration and Ecological Restoration will be held from October 6th to 10th, 2025, at the Tsinghua University China-Italy Design Innovation Hub (CIDIH) in Milan, Italy.

Guided by the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, the conference is co-hosted by the Center for Brownfields Research at the School of Architecture in Tsinghua University , the World Green Design Organization (WGDO), and the School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering in Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy（to be confirmed）.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of China–EU diplomatic relations, the conference adopts the theme “Creative Capital: the Rise of Arts and Design in Brownfield Regeneration”. Actively responding to the "China-EU Green Action" initiative, it aims to establish a multidisciplinary, international dialogue platform. Focusing on the innovative role of arts and design in brownfield regeneration, the event will center on three core topics: Heritage, Culture, and Identity. It will invite leading scholars, artists, and designers worldwide to share interdisciplinary practices and explore how artistic interventions revitalize industrial heritage, how cultural narratives empower placemaking, and how design innovation reshapes urban and rural identities. The conference seeks to advance brownfield regeneration from technical remediation to the co-creation of social value, injecting new momentum into China-EU green cooperation and deepening the green partnership.

The conference has established dedicated channels for both paper submissions and applications to the International Green Design Award; further details are provided below.

米兰不仅是意大利工业革命的摇篮与欧洲制造业中心，更拥有深厚的工业遗产基因。19世纪起，这里孕育了倍耐力轮胎厂（1872年）、阿尔法·罗密欧汽车厂（1910年）等标志性工业集群，并催生了克雷斯皮·达达（Crespi d'Adda）这座被联合国教科文组织列为世界遗产的“工厂-城镇”一体化乌托邦社区。如今，这些工业遗存正通过创意再生焕发新生：从倍耐力比可卡工厂转型为大学与艺术展览综合体（Hangar Bicocca），到阿尔法·罗密欧波特洛厂区改造为螺旋山丘生态公园（Parco  Portello），均成为艺术与设计驱动棕地转型的米兰范式。

Milan, the cradle of the Italian Industrial Revolution and a hub of European manufacturing, boasts a rich industrial heritage. Since the 19th century, iconic industrial clusters such as the Pirelli Tire Factory (est. 1872) and Alfa Romeo Automobile Factory (est. 1910) have flourished here. The city also gave birth to Crespi d’Adda, a UNESCO World Heritage “factory-town” utopia. Today, these industrial legacies are being revitalized through creative regeneration: a part of former Pirelli Bicocca factory has been transformed into the HangarBicocca cultural complex, and the former Alfa Romeo Portello site has become Parco Portello, an ecological park—both serving as Milanese paradigms of arts and design-driven brownfield transformation.

本届会议诚邀学界、业界的专家学者和青年才俊不吝赐稿。入选后主要通过学术海报进行展示，其中优秀成果将有机会在大会进行专题报告。

本次征稿分为两类：

(1) 研究类：侧重学术研究与理论探索

(2) 项目类：侧重棕地再生与生态修复领域的实践项目、设计成果或技术应用

特别说明：计划申报“绿色设计国际大奖”的成果，请选择“项目类”进行投稿。通过本次会议摘要评审的“项目类”投稿，将获得申报该奖项的优先推荐资格。

We warmly invite experts, scholars, and young professionals to submit their work. Accepted submissions will be showcased primarily through academic posters, with outstanding works selected for oral presentations at the conference.

Submissions are divided into two categories:

(1) Research Track: Focusing on academic studies and theoretical exploration.

(2) Project Track: Focusing on practical projects, design outcomes, or technological applications in the fields of brownfield regeneration and ecological restoration.

Important Note: If you plan to apply for the International Green Design Award, please submit under the Project Track. Project-track abstracts accepted by the conference will receive priority recommendation for the award.

(1)  报告摘要（英语）

研究摘要/项目说明：200-500字，关键词3-5个。

(2) 个人信息

姓名、学校/工作单位、职务、研究领域与方向、电话号码和电子邮箱等。

(3) 核心研究或设计成果（jpg格式）

研究类成果为1-3张图片，无图版要求；  项目类成果图版不做严格要求，但建议采用1张A0图纸排版。

请将上述文件压缩成一个文件包（.rar或.zip格式），命名为“研究投稿/项目投稿-作者姓名-报告标题”，并发送至brownfield@tsinghua.edu.cn，电子邮件命名方式为“作者姓名-2025brownfield conference”。

(1) Abstract (in English)

Research Abstract/Project Description (200–500 words, 3–5 keywords).

(2) Personal Info

Name, affiliation, title, email, and research area.

(3) Core Research/Design Outputs (JPG format)

For research submissions, provide 1–3 images; no presentation board is required. For Project Track submissions, board specifications are flexible, though using a single A0 sheet is recommended.

Please compress files into a .rar or .zip package named “Research/Project Submission-Name-Title” and send to brownfield@tsinghua.edu.cn, with the email subject “Name-2025 brownfield conference”.

Feel free to compress additional details of your research or project work into a separate archive (.rar or .zip) and attach it to your submission. This may include, but is not limited to, the full paper, complete design package, or project reports. Please specify whether the material is a thesis, a published / accepted paper, a completed built project, a competition-winning entry, or others.

3.征集截止时间：

(1) 报告摘要或全文的投稿截止时间为6月30日20:00(北京时间）。

(2) 录用结果将于7月5日24:00(北京时间）前以邮件形式通知。

(3) 被录用作者不免注册费。

Established by the World Green Design Organization (WGDO), the International Green Design Award recognizes outstanding products, technologies, and projects that advance green design and sustainable development worldwide. 本次会议期间，将同步开启绿色设计国际大奖申报通道，面向棕地再生与生态修复领域的优秀实践项目。

During this conference, the submission portal for the International Green Design Award will open simultaneously, focusing on exemplary projects in brownfield regeneration and ecological restoration.

申报流程如下

1.提交材料

申报者需准备中英双语申报书，内容包括项目 / 产品 / 技术概述、核心成果展示材料、个人 / 团队信息。

请将上述文件压缩成一个文件包（.rar 或.zip 格式）发送至指定邮箱 info@wgdo.net。文件命名/邮件主题请注明 “2025棕地会议绿色设计国际大奖申报 - 申报者姓名 / 团队名称”。

2.评选流程

由世界绿色设计组织组建的权威评审团，将依据创新性、可持续性、社会影响力、实践可行性等多维度标准进行评审。

3.申报截止时间

2025 年 7 月 31日24:00(北京时间）。请务必在此时间前完成申报，逾期提交将不予受理。

4.获奖入围公布

此次棕地大会将公布入围名单，并于会议期间为现场参会的入围项目提供展示机会。绿色设计国际大奖颁奖典礼将于12月的世界绿色设计组织年会暨布鲁塞尔峰会上举行，以WGDO秘书处具体通知为准。

获奖项目不仅将获得国际荣誉证书，还将获得在世界绿色设计组织全球平台的广泛宣传推广机会，对接优质产业资源与投资机构，助力获奖成果的进一步应用与转化。

How to Apply

1.Prepare Your Submission:

A bilingual (Chinese & English) application, including:
       • Project/Product/Technology overview
       • Core outcomes and supporting materials
       • Applicant/Team information

Please compress all documents into a single .rar or .zip file named “2025 Brownfield Conference - Green Design Award Application – [Applicant/Team Name]” and send to info@wgdo.net with the same email subject as file name.

2.Evaluation

An expert panel convened by WGDO will assess entries on innovation, sustainability, societal impact, and practical feasibility.

3.Deadline

All applications must be received by 24:00 (Beijing Time), 31th July 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.

4.Announcement & Ceremony

Shortlisted entries will be announced during the conference,  and on-site presentation opportunities will be provided during the conference for shortlisted projects with attendees present. Award Ceremony will be held at the WDGO Annual Conference Brussels Summit of World Green Design Forum; final details will follow in a WGDO Secretariat notice.

注意事项：

(1) 参会名额60人，案例研讨名额共计25人，报满即止。
